Hi guys I just wanted to give you an official run down on what the “Fashion Dare Tag” is. I joined a group called “Bloggers Do It Better” sponsored by Pretty Shiny Sparkly where every so often you are challenged to wear a specific trend. Shortly thereafter Dany from Nany’s Klozet and Flor from Flor de Maria Fashion began doing their take on “Bloggers Do It Better” on a weekly basis and opened it up to the Latino blogging community. My Sister Natalia, who has a vlog on YouTube, was unable to participate in the challenges because she doesn’t have a blog to link up. So I came up with the great idea to bring the weekly challenges to the YouTube world so that my sister and I can both participate and the “Fashion Dare Tag” was born. The “dares” are meant to be fun, grow together as a fashion vlogging community and to learn from each other’s different fashion sense and styles. Here is how it works…. Each week on a Thursday my sister and I will each post on our respective channels (http://youtube.com/superfashionchica and http://youtube.com/nataliamorel ) our outfits with the corresponding dare for that week. The first dare was from 7/7-7/713 and it was to wear white pants. What you then do is video respond under comments to either one of our videos with yours. To find out what the next dare will be you simply have to watch our previous dare video to hear what is coming up next. If you are not a vlogger you can still participate by uploading your pic to my Chica Fashion Facebook fan page I hope you all participate and enjoy doing so each week! Fedora- H&M Top/Blusa- Forever 21 Bermudas- Target Wedges/Zapatillas- Target Watch/Reloj- Micheal Kors Wood Bangles/ Brazaletes- Gifted Belt/Correa- Walmart Dany from Nany’s Klozet and Flor from Flor de Maria Fashion decided to start something called “I challenge you to…”. In this weekly special, they challenge readers and bloggers around the globe to wear specific trends- and they would love if everyone could join them. Every Tuesday they’ll publish next week’s challenge, on Mondays: they’ll show you how they wore the trend and you’ll be able to share your link & outfit their blog. You can also upload your pictures to Nany’s Klozet Facebook or Flor de Maria Fashion Facebook. We were inspired by “Bloggers do it better” but they want to give it their own twist to it! This week’s it is “We Challenge You To … Take Over Someone Else’s Closet” I choose to take over my sister’s closet, my mom was my first choice but then I remembered any cool vintage pieces she would have had burned in our house fire in 2007. My sister and I have very similar taste when it comes to fashion so going to her closet was a no brainer. Even though our fashion styles are alike there are things that she wears that I often do not. In this case it is fedora’s and deep v-necklines. I happen to have a bigger chest than she so I don’t often lean towards deep V’s although it does flatter me. As far as the fedora goes, I don’t know why I have never picked one up. I like hats especially winter hats and have worn floppy hats but never a fedora. When putting together the outfit I knew right away I wanted to wear her hat.Hope you guys like what I came up with using my sisters closet, all items are hers except the jewelry. Thanks for visiting! Why share this assignment with you? Well because as stated in my bio I am first and foremost a mother, a fashionable one but a mom nonetheless. After completing this assignment I thought it woudl be nice to share something a bit more intimate with my readers.... One goal that I recently achieved was having a child; I have wanted to birth my own child for as long as I could remember. I always imagined how my baby girl would look and what a great mother I would be. I played in my head images of us playing, laughing and cuddling together. I could not wait until the day that I could hold my baby girl in my arms and really have her. I had always thought from the age of 19 that I was not able to bare children. After having a failed pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage I discontinued the use of oral contraceptives as I thought they would only hinder my ability to conceive. Although, I was never purposely trying to get pregnant, the fact that I had never even had a scare or a slight possibility of being pregnant tormented me. Nonetheless cleared by the OB/GYN as healthy and fit to conceive it didn’t happen until April of 2009. For nine long, painful, emotional, uncomfortable, excruciating months I anxiously awaited the arrival of my daughter Naliya. Naliya Alexa Medina born 1/23/210 is my biggest and most proud accomplishment ever, in retro spec although anyone can have a child and it isn’t an impossible goal to achieve, she is my most prized possession and who and what I value the most in this world. She is my precious gift from God. Even though on paper I will God willing, soon have many honorable achievements this one is the most valuable one to me. Nothing can replace the feeling of giving someone life, meeting them after nine months and pushing with all of your might just t finally see their tiny little face. I will never forget the moment my daughter was born; I can still remember just saying over and over “I did it, I did it” as my eyes filled with tears of pure bliss…. Complete joy. Thanks for stopping by and reading it is always greatly appreciated....
