I guess that it could be because I have a creative spirit. Events like birthdays & weddings in particular allow for my creativity to run wild. However when it comes to your own special day everything takes a new twist. Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of planning my own big day but I have had the pleasure of being on the inside of a few very close relative’s wedding day preparations. Oh and I have seen one too many episodes of bridezillas and David Tutera’s my fair wedding. I just want to share what I would have in my “bridal survival kit”. Here would be a few essentials to help get through the special day: 1. “Day of the Wedding” Event Planner This pocket book planer with all of the wedding industry’s best kept planning secrets and methods in one little tool. It will fit right in your bridal bag. Which leads me to my second item for my kit, a… 2. A Bridal Bag You will be taking pictures left and right but will still need a lipstick or lip gloss, besides where are you supposed to carry everything from your kit? You do not want to carry anything to large but a cute bag to match your dress is a must. 3. Tide to Go Pen Too many drinks, lots of laughs and surprise you just spilled something on your dress. Keep this handy in your purse and you will be good to go! 4. Dove Clear Tone Antiperspirant Deodorant is a must! This particular one especially for me is awesome because it helps to not only keep you fresh, dry and protected but it also helps to even skin tone by reducing darks spots cause by shaving. It will moisturize and renew the skin under your arms if used daily on the weeks leading to your big day, you will feel confident all night in your strapless gown. This post is so late it is almost sad lol, but I am trying to play catch up so here we go... On Tuesday, March 13th from 6-10pm I attended Dina Manzo's Designer Affair Wedding, Event & Design Showcase at The Brownstone in Paterson, NJ. It was a weddings and special events showcase featuring NYC and NJ's premier event specialists. Featured exhibitors include Stuffed Cupcake, RSVP To Me, Design Spree, Dazian Fabrics and Weddings for Heros to name a few. Guests experienced an informal fashion show by I do, I do Bridal Boutique, living art presented by Ten 31 Productions and an elegant display by Designer Affair. When we think of Forever, we think teen, casual or club wear, however after many visits to their stores and website I have come across on numerous occasions quite a few frocks that can be used for the wedding of a chic and budget conscious bride.
In keeping with my latest obsession, sequin; I decided to dedicate today's blog post to not only my first #TuesdayShoesDay contribution but also to my first wedding related post in honor of earning my way to becoming an official #TWIPS member. I gave this post a lot of thought because I wanted to include the two topics previously mentioned. What better way than SHOES to blend the two! I wanted to feature shoes that can be used for a wedding and had that "SPARKLE" like my favorite, sequins. In searching for something worthy, I came across a wonderful shoe designer Lauren Jones whom you may or may not have heard of. Nonetheless, she has the most beautiful shoes!
