I am obssessed with this smoothie, it is my go to breakfast smoothie, pre-workout and post-workout smoothie. This is my version of a health shake and it is so delicious and filling. It is also really good if you are breast feeding because it increases milk supply and making more nourishing. The only other time I have been so hooked on a shake was when I was drinking BeachBody's chocolate Shakeology (which is really good for you and works but is expensive) with peanut butter.
What type of oils are you using to cook with? It may be "time to change your oil" Pompeian was kind enough to send me two of their oils to try. First let me say that the amount of oil you get for the price can't be beat! The taste is great and I like how versatile they are.
Also Pompeian is challenging bloggers to CREATE OR RECREATE A RECIPE featuring Pompeian Grapeseed Oil and OlivExtra Premium Mediterranean Blend and enter to win a trip to BlogHer Food ’13. For more information on the "Time to Change Your Oil" campaign and contest, visit the Pompeian Facebook page. Thanks to recent scientific findings, the Mediterranean diet has boosted the popularity of olive oil. And as a leader in olive oil, Pompeian wants to share another treasure of the food world - grapeseed oil. A chef secret for decades, grapeseed oil has similar health benefits to olive oil, but is even more versatile for cooking due to its light taste and high smoke point. I found a recipe on Pinterest for glazed porkchops and I just had to try it because my way of preparing it was pretty basic, i'd fry it. They turned out beyond delicious. My only variation was that I always clean then marinate my meat no matter what recipe I follow. Source: budgetbytes.blogspot.com via Alicia on Pinterest I know I am super duper late with this post but I wanted to post "recipes" more often so I thought that I would catch up first. I found this Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds recipe on Pinterest I am not sure about you but I actually like to try some of the things I pin especially recipes. However I do modify them adding or removing seasoning at times. For this recipe I substituted the potatoes out with sweet potatoes for a "healthier" version. They were great and I was happy with the result. Click on image below to be taken to the recipe. Source: allrecipes.com via Alicia on Pinterest In effort to be overall more healthy and fit I have been following many individals on Instagram who have the same frame of mind. On a few occasions I've seen pictures of turkey muffins; people have them for breakfast, snack or dinner. Some posts include the recipe but I've never bothered to read it & see exactly how turkey muffins are made. Turns out turkey muffins are more of a turkey meatball placed in a muffin tray. Not at all what I had in mind. I hear muffin and think light fluffy, chewy goodness. I don't know why but while food shopping today I thought I'd give turkey muffins a try but my way of course. As I mentioned before, in my mind I was trying to really create a muffin. Before I give the "recipe" I have to warn you all that I'm a winging it type of cook. I cook as they say in Spanish "with the eye" al ojo. Most amounts are at your discretion and "to taste" Ingredients -1.5lbs of ground turkey -1 box of Turkey Stove Top Stuffing (because there's just something about turkey and stuffing that will forever go together for me. Also I thought it would give me that muffin texture I was after) -1.5 cups of water -tablespoon of garlic minced -3 green onions minced -2 celery stalks diced -3 small carrot stalks grated -1 egg -Italian bread crumbs -grated Parmesan cheese -salt -pepper -oregano Directions -In a mixing bowl add turkey, grated parmesan, salt, pepper, egg, oregano and mix with your hand. -then mix in garlic, green onions, celery and carrots. -next toss in Stove Top packet and pour in the water. Use the italian bread crumbs to help bind. -spoon in the mix into a muffin tray. Cook at 375 for 40min. Give the muffins 5mins to cool before removing them so that they don't fall apart. Again all spices are to taste. If you try my recipe let me know please. Hope you enjoy your healthy treat. I have no idea how many calories this has sorry.
