3 tips for surviving a short road trip while 35 weeks pregnant

My Nali bear recently turned 8 years old, to celebrate I really wanted to take her to Kalahari Resorts, PA. It is about 2 hours away from our home, I was slightly dreading the drive since I was mid way through my 35th week of pregnancy and long drives in general make me antsy. However by just doing these 3 things I survived our short road trip!

The first thing I did was dress comfortably, I had to dress business casual for work daily and with a limited maternity wardrobe I am rarely comfortable. I took complete advantage that I would be able to dress however I pleased and decided to wear my Pink Blush Maternity Leggings.

This is a new partnership, I've been anxious to try out their maternity clothes. They did not disappoint! The leggings  are of great quality, have a nice feel, and design.  

The next thing I did was wear a nice comfy top. The top is also a cute maternity item from Pink Blush. I loved the baseball design. If you have been a reader of the blog for a while you know how much I enjoy mixing prints. The floral/ stripe combo of the shirt is so me. This maternity top is so soft, it almost felt like pajamas!

The last thing I did to make that two hour trip more bearable was wear sneakers! I never get to wear sneakers at work, and boy would I love to! I had been wanting a pair of Vans sk8  high top sneakers for months, finally for Christmas my husband got them for me. These are, like the youth group kids at church call them, my cool mom sneakers. I love these sneakers! And you know what? They do make me feel like a cool mom.

*Bonus* Nothing makes a trip a little less stressful than quiet, calm kids. To ensure that would happen I packed snacks, devices - with chargers, and drinks!
