This post is sponsored by Mode however all opinions expressed are my own. It may be cold outside but Target is warming things up with the kick off of their swimsuit season. To encourage others to embrace the season with no reservations, just confidence, they are launching their #NOFOMO campaign. FOMO is the fear of missing out, #NOFOMO is their rally cry to stop missing out on the best of summer or vacation because of body insecurities, swimsuit avoidance or lame excuses. Join me in taking the #NOFOMO pledge, let me give you five tips for picking out your best bathing suit! I have always been pretty transparent about struggling with my weight at one point I was even a Beachbody coach. After my son my tummy got even softer but I shared here and here how I couldn't let my insecurities stop me from enjoying the short Jersey summers with my children. They sure don't care about my stretch marks, they just want me to have fun with them in the sun! Did you know that almost 1 out of 3 women would sacrifice a vacation to avoid being seen in a swimsuit. Shocking right? But believe it because I am one of those women! My brother planned a birthday vacation in none other than Jamaica for this coming May. It's turning into almost a family reunion now, as my husband, parents & older brother may all be attending. When he first invited me my initial thoughts were "ain't no way I am going if I don't lose these 20lbs". I started to work out but told myself I wouldn't go if I didn't lose the weight in time. Seriously? Why punish myself this way? Instead I headed over to Target to find a few swimsuits that I could wear whether I lost the weight or not. I don't love the fitting room process, especially with my 2 year old little boy so I bought 8 swimsuits tried them all on in my closet and return the rest right back, thanks to Target's hassle free return policy. Prefer ordering online? There is free shipping!! After trying on the new swimsuits and my old ones here are my five takeaways.... 5 Things to Think about when buying Target Swimwear
More important than looking good is feeling good honestly, because it always happens everyone can tell me how good I look but if I don't feel like that, Justin Timberlake himself could invite me to his pool party and I will decline along with 36% of women. Shopping should be fun so don't overwhelm yourself or stress. Grab a friend or family member, mix and match pieces and take the #NOFOMO pledge to not miss out on enjoyable experiences this summer because of a swimsuit. |
