A Lazy Girl's Guide for getting In and Out of the Laundromat, Fast!

Would you believe me if I told you that I have not done my own laundry since I was 19 years old! I heard on Jenna Kutcher's podcast the other day that outsourcing can make your life run more efficiently. So let's just say I have been outsourcing my laundry duties for the past 13 years. Unfortunately my laundry lady charges $10 bucks per comforter! And I am all for paying for convenience but that is a bit much for  my budget savvy self. 

My next best option is going to my local laundromat and washing all of my comforters myself. The only problem is, I hate it! Ugh laundromat trips, no matter how quick you try to make them, they take forever. So here are my 3 Lazy Girl tips, cause honestly, ain't nobody got time for that! ​

Go Often

I know, I know why go more often if I dislike the place so much. Here is the thing the longer you hold off on your laundromat visit, the more that will need to be washed. Well, the more that needs to be washed, the longer you will be at the laundromat. And I don't know about you, but I am trying to be in and out of there in under an hour!

Sort at Home

I sort my comforters at home. Using laundry bags, I divide my comforters into 3 bags; one for lights, darks, and one for colors(colorful/mixed colors). This way when I get in the laundromat, I can head over to the closest 3 empty washers, and load them. No extra time wasted in there sorting laundry out.

Use an all in 1 Detergent
