Now that I am a mother myself I understand my own mother so much better. I always tell my daughter "You see every time you don't listen to me you end up crying! Please just listen to me baby please" If I could go back in time with that little phrase my whole life would probably be so much different.

I know now that my mother always just had her best interest for me. We would argue because I would say all the time "what do you think? You're a psychic or something?" She was and is the ultimate Mrs. Know It All but now I realize she was always listening to The Holy Spirit who was helping her parent me. I appreciate her so much for raising me in a Christian home and although I backslid I found my way back. I can only pray that I am as great as a mom as she; avocado, mayo + eggs in my hair and all (not so weird now but it was to me 20 years ago)
