Tablescapes are my favorite posts to do. For Thanksgiving I thought I would put together a budget friendly tablescape for two. For this Thanksgiving tablescape I mostly used pieces I already own. The only new purchases were the yellow floral bushes, shimmery burlap and the reindeer. The floral bush bunch was on sale for 60% off, I divided it in two for my centerpiece. The key is to have a main focal point then taper down smaller focal points. You'll also want varying heights on the table, for this I used 4 votive candles. I had picked up at Marshalls back in October, a large pumpkin and 4 small mini pumpkins to decorate for fall harvest. They worked into the tablescape perfectly. I also had picked up on the same day a package of fall themed pumpkin spiced potpourri that I used on the table as well. The rattan chargers were my mothers, along with the burlap they add a rustic feel to the tablescape. The gold shimmer of the burlap runner and the reindeer add a touch of glam, and at just .50 cents those reindeer heads were a steal! To make these burlap "napkins/place holders" I cut a square piece of burlap and used this pictorial from Pinterest on fold a napkin. I used an iron to ensure the burlap stood in place. The place settings are my everyday dinner plates and glasses. My dinning table is black but to quickly change and lighten up the ambiance I covered the table in a white marble print contact paper. |
