Date Night Outfit Idea: Chambray Button Up + Textured Knit Skater Skirt

If you are in the Northeast then you probably did not get to wear the outfit you had picked out for Valentine's. Heck, you probably did not even get to go out for Valentine's because of the arctic freeze temps we have been experiencing lately. Luckily if you took a raincheck for next weekend when temps will be better, you'll get to wear a cute outfit with less layers for date night.

This outfit was my second choice for what to wear on a [Valentine's] date night. I picked up this textured knit skater skirt from Kmart while shopping for clearance Christmas items a couple of months ago. It was on sale for 40% off, I wish I would have sized down to a medium because it does run larger.

Initially I wanted to put on a black faux fur collar over my chambray top and wear over-the-knee boots since it is cold out. However, the skirt was longer than I anticipated. Always keep an eye on the-skirt-to-leg, to boot ratio so that it elongates you versus shortens. Instead I opted for a neutral color shoe - metallic rose gold, almond toe Shoedazzle pumps.
