Familia Fashion Travels: 2 Nights in Montego Bay, Jamaica

This past June my husband and I visited Montego Bay, Jamaica for two nights. It may not seem like many days but it was a perfect little getaway for us. The best part was that the whole reason for our trip was to surprise my brother, Nestor of ThaBoxingVoice. He decided he'd be celebrating his birthday at the Holiday Inn Sunspree all-inclusive resort.

I know what you are thinking, who goes to Jamaica and stays for only two days? Well it there were special circumstances because of the birthday surprise but to be completely honest, from now on I think 2-3 night stays are perfect for my husband and I. 3 night, 4 day vacation stays are ideal because you don't have to use too many vacation days, we aren't away from the children for too long - i.e they're with a sitter (grandparents) for less time, I can travel with just a carry on, and it is more cost efficient all around.

Day One

My husband and I took a flight with a 3 hour layover in Miami, from Tampa - where we'd been visiting my eldest brother, to Montego Bay and set out to enjoy the next 2 nights and 3 days.

These are one of my favorite shades I got them from Aldo's a few years back, these here are a great dupe. Also I couldn't forget my fav lippie by Urban Decay.

We were greeted with a pleasant staff and rum punch!

There was a bit of an overcast when we arrived but that didn't stop us from changing into our bathing suits and making ourselves feel welcome at the resort. 

My bathing suit is a mix and match set, the midkini pushup swim top is from Jcpenney and the high waist bottom is from Amazon but you can also grab a pair of ARIZONA MULTI-STRAP HIGH-WAIST HIPSTER SWIM BOTTOMS from JcPenney.

Cause naturally you have to eat fries poolside when at a resort.

I got this maxi dress beach cover-up at a Kmart presser a few years ago but this one is also super cute!

Night One

At night we headed down to the buffet, because food and continued to take full advantage of the all-inclusive open bar. We enjoyed the sunset and the entertainment provided.

Day  and Night Two

The big surprise! We arranged for a taxi to pick up my brother from the airport and surprised him in the lobby! It was the greatest feeling ever surprising him. I love him so much and was so happy we got to spend his birthday together!

I had everything from jerk chicken to oxtail and potato pudding. I ate and tried everything the resort had to offer, that also included snorkeling, kayaking, dinner at the reserved restaurant, piña coladas, and more piña coladas!

On day two the weather was so much better! This romper btw, is 6 years old! I got it a couple of months after I had my daughter Naliya. Rompers are great resort wear, this a cute option here.
