Any time is a good time for me to host a party so when your friend comes in from out of town and requests one of your "special parties" you get to work. And Honestly what says girls night more than dinner, drinks and chit chat? A themed girls night in! What's best is that I only gave myself a $50 budget! Summer was just about to start so I wanted a theme that would represent that, thanks to Pinterest "Havana Nights" was born. DecorThe first step in decorating was setting the mood, I wanted to create this intamate low lit ambiance of being in an outdoor terrace at night. I only used the daylight of the windows and candles to light up the room, a string of icicle christmas lights helped to set the tone. Here is everything I used to decorate:
I went ahead and took the liberty of putting all the links to the supplies you will need in shop so you can go ahead and check that out here. For the food, drinks and dessert I wanted to just do a self serve table with a variety of some Cuban delicacies. Also I didn't want to cook as it was just us 3 girls, I did not want to make a whole grand operation of what was supposed to be a relaxing girls night in. I bought my supplies at the local super market and Sandra Lee- Semi Homemade the crap out of it! Here is what I put together.
Food & DrinkOne of the main reasons I loved this theme was because I was able to use things I already had in my home and in my party stash. I was able to pull it off with a small budget and got to try that delicious deconstructed Cuban sandwich recipe! I will definitely be making those again once I am off of that Why Weight diet.
