Memorial Weekends marks the unofficial beginning of summer and what better way then to kick off summer than with a crab boil! My family and I are big fans of seafood when given the option between a bar-b-que, naturally we opted for a crab boil.
Here is what my sister in law and I came up with, I really love hosting events with her and at her house because we bounce off of each other creatively in a way that I can't with anyone else.
The Menu
I like to think of myself as a Sandra Lee Semi Home Made apprentice, well because why not? She is amazing, creates the most delicious stress free meals, and most beautiful tables tablescapes. I was able to purchase many ready made items for the menu from the frozen seafood section of the supermarket and put my new 24 quart stock pot to use, only $19.99 on sale at Shop Rite.
The Dessert
There is nothing that screams God Bless America more than good old apple pie. This one was on sale for $1.99 at Shop Rite, It tasted delicious.
Drinks
Our drink of choice was a family favorite, Limeade. Minute Maid has the best frozen mix, squeeze in the juice of a couple of fresh limes and it is just as good as home made.
The Decor
For the decor we kept it very simple and let the food be the center of attention
