Something always has to happen that delays me from writing a new blog post. I have wanted to put up this OOTD since Valentine’s Day. Can you believe I wrote the whole thing out included pictures and all and my darn web host froze on me! You best to believe I had a fit. Writing for me take thought and time, I don’t just throw things up here and lately time is of essence. Between work, the baby, exercising and my home life my blogging has become secondary. I managed to find some time this morning so here we go… I wore this look on my Valentine’s date with my best friend Jessica. We choose to go to LongHorn Steak house, both the service and the food were pleasant. However, what was to die for and I recommend to you all are the Golden Nugget Fried Cheesecake - Tasty nuggets of creamy cheesecake lightly breaded and crisp fried, served over vanilla bean ice cream with strawberry sauce. All of that goodness for only $5.79. I will start with my hair, I found on Twitter – my hub for all things current and up to date a natural/ curly hair guru Curly Nikki. You can read all about her and My Journey Back to Natural Hair , she has a method called “the chunky twist and curl” that I tried out and loved! It left my hair feeling healthy and lustrous It is a more polished look compared to my wild wash and go. I have now adapted it to be part of my hair regime. As I work my way down we come to my Forever 21 cardi and tank. I really like this cardi because it is cinched at the back emphasizing your waist line, it also has puff sleeves, drapping in the front and bronzed detailing adorning the shoulders giving a military inspired piece. If that tank could talk, oh the stories it would have to tell LOL! I own that olive green top, I want to say since 2006; It has survived two break ups and a house fire. Needless to say It’s a sentimental piece of clothing. I can’t let it go though, that top is very essential part of my wardrobe, especially my military looks. I have other olive green tops but they do not seem to come up to par. I went with black and gold/ bronzed toned jewelry to go with my look. All of my accessories seen itn the pictures are courtesy of Chica-Fashion.com Cargo pants are a fashion staple this spring and I hadn’t owned a pair but I came across these “Almost Famous” at Marshalls in the clearance section for only 7 bucks! Yes only seven dollars, fab find I know! I bought them without trying them on because that brand is my sister's fave. They fit great and are very figure flattering. I recently purchased my Colin Stuart round toe black booties from Victoria’s secret on sale for 54.99. I didn’t own a pair like those and had wanted a pair for quite some time. After seeing, the price and that they were in my sized I jumped at the opportunity. They are comfortable and are also military inspired, which I am very much into. |
