Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Bellefit, I received a complimentary girdle to review. However, all opinions expressed are my own. Okay, so maybe a girdle alone will not help you snapback like these Instamodels that come across your explore feed. But they really do help you, and not just with getting your tummy a little flatter. Here's how... This is my third (and most likely last) baby, after each one I have worn a faja aka a girdle, as well as girdle type panties, compression tanks and the hospital postpartum belly belt. You name it I've worn it, in efforts of that "snapback". But listen undergarments alone DO NOT WORK, you need to combine it with a diet and exercise plan that suits your needs! They really do help however. This time around I was able to team up with Bellefit. Bellefit postpartum girdles and corsets are medical quality garments that, help your uterus go back to its place in less time as well as help you reach your postpartum recovery goals and feel better faster. A postpartum girdle is a compression garment that a woman wears around her torso following the birth of a baby. Wearing a Girdle, reduces pain associated with postpartum recovery, allows you to care for your baby as well as allows you to heal and care for your own body. The back support this garment provides is amazing! The first few weeks after having the baby I had the craziest back pain, I could not understand why since I was no longer carry so much weight. But after wearing the corset girdle the pain eased up more and more each time because all of the support it provided. It is recommended that you begin wearing your girdle the day you are discharged from the hospital. Typically 3-5 days after delivering your baby but you should always consult with your Doctor first since every recovery is unique. You will still see results and feel support if you begin wearing your girdle anytime within the first year postpartum. I began wearing my Bellefit girdle about a week or two after delivery. Everything felt pretty sore and the thought of squeezing into the girdle and just dealing with the pads and what not gave me a little anxiety, so I opted to wait a couple of weeks. They have a number of options available; the one that I have been wearing is the Dual-Closure Girdle: The Bellefit Dual-Closure Girdle can be worn after a C-section or Natural birth. The Dual-closure girdle has 2 rows of hook-and-eye closures in the front and a lateral zipper. This girdle is preferred by women seeking the highest level of flexibility and adjustability throughout the postpartum recovery process. Right away one of the things I loved about this girdle is that you can unhook it at the crotch to use the restroom without having to take the whole thing off. Another thing I really liked was that it did not roll up or cut into my thighs. That could have something to do with the style, fit or simply the way it is made but either way I was pleased because there is nothing worse than an ill-fitting girdle. It can be painful and uncomfortable, really It has nice durable boning that aids in that back support. I cannot wear mine for too long some days since it digs into my back fat at times(apparently I carry weight in my back??), and that is no fun. But for the most part I have no complaints and it has been working out well. Use code: Aliciag20 to purchase any girdle over $67!
