I officially have a Kindergartener, my first born, my baby girl, she is a all done with pre-school! Hurray for milestones! She and I have both grown so much these past 3 years but I am most proud of my daughter and Oh, the places she will go! To honor her and her accomplishment i did what we Dominican call "una bullita". Of course it was a Pinterest inspired Pre-K graduation party!
The goal was just to have a small family gathering to celebrate Naliya. Naturally, I headed to Pinterest for some pre-k/kinder grad party inspo. There were many ideas but this Dr. Seuss "Oh, the places you'll go" theme stuck out the most. In part because it seems like it is the most popular graduation party theme.
It also was a no brainer to go with theme because I knew it was the one I would spend the least on. I intended on using only things I had in my party box from previous celebrations.
My planned worked out well because other than a few dollars at the Dollar Tree, I barely spent a dime on this small graduation party. As with most recent "Chica Fashion events" I opted to use my brother & sister's(in-law) home. I love their open floor plan and natural lighting, the perfect backdrop for entertaining.
I kept the decor fairly simple, I did not have the time nor did I want to get into diy's and all of that. I also, as mentioned before did not want to spend a lot so here is what I did.
If you did not know my daughter is a big fan of sushi, she litterally request it every weekend. This is one of the main reasons I did not want to spend a lot on decor. Sushi can get expensive but she loves it and wanted her to feel special on her day. That plate right there with the california roll and the cooked eel roll, yes that is her's and she ate all but two pieces.
Because what is a party without treats?! The dessert list was short and sweet...
