Boasting only 5 grams of sugar and ancient grains like KAMUT wheat, spelt, and quinoa! The new Ancient Grains + Multi Grains Cheerios has a whopping 17g Whole Grain Per Serving. You can eat it milk or use the Cheerios to layer your parfait. You even crush the Cheerios to create a nice crunchy coating when preparing a "better for you"  version of oven fried chicken. I chose to use it as a topping on a smoothie bowl since acai and pitaya bowls are all the rave lately.

The new Ancient Grains + Multi Grains Cheerios which you can find at SAM's Club is a classic fav with an added ‘oomph’ that will take your smoothie bowl to the next level! This is a no cook, raw recipe that can be done in under 10 minutes!

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

For this recipe I used the following ingredients:
  • The new Ancient Grains + Multi Grains Cheerios 
  • Yoplait Greek Yogurt 
  • Store bought pre-portioned frozen fruit smoothie pack
  • Chia Seeds
  • Store bought Chocolate berry granola

Step 2: Blend Ingredients Together

You want your smoothie to be thicker than normal, so we won't be using any liquids. Keep fruit frozen, do not thaw it out as that will create liquid and water down the smoothie bowl. In a blender or a Nutri Ninja, add in your favorite frozen smoothie mix as well as the greek yogurt. For added thickness you can use ice or bananas.  

Step 3: Pour and Add Toppings

In a large enough bowl pour in the smoothie mixture and then begin to add your toppings! I used a good amount of the new Cheerios cereal, about half of the bowl. Followed by a handful of granola and a serving of chia seeds. Feel free to drizzle a bit of agave or honey for a little touch of added sweetness.

Step 4: Eat!
