Raising Awareness about Global Motherhood with Johnson & Johonson

I am currently participating in Johnson & Johnson’s #InspireCare social media campaign! 
  
For many years, Johnson & Johnson has worked with its partners to care for the well-being of mothers and children around the world. It is estimated that Johnson & Johnson and its partners touch more than one billion people’s lives each day through health care products, services and various programs.  

At this year’s LATISM 2012 conference, Johnson & Johnson will be showcasing some of these initiatives under the theme “global motherhood.”  You are invited to learn more about this work and help them spread the word through social media about the challenges that mothers face around the world. You can inspire mothers like you to join them in helping other mothers by raising awareness about important issues and some of the solutions that make a difference. To help start the conversation about global motherhood, I want to share with you how my mother has inspired me to be the caring mother that I am for my family. My mother is not only my best friend but my biggest supporter and greatest example. I always tell everyone that I have always felt that I had the greatest childhood. I have never felt deprived of anything. If we ever had a need or where ever tight financially I was never aware. My mother was beyond loving, a hard working women and an educated one as well. Not only book smart but street smart over all well rounded and cultured. She instilled in me all of those qualities that I too wish to instill in my daughter.

Apart from my mother, my daughter also inspires me to be the best mother that I can be. Children are like sponges and know that she is listening and watching to all that I say and do forces me to be the best version of myself that I can be. Whether it is eating healthy, working out, going to church or expressing myself more eloquently I do it because I know that she is learning from me.
