Not too long ago I posted about my colic woes, and although I do not want to rush time, because that would mean my sweet baby girl is growing out of her newborn stage and maternity leave will quickly be coming to an end, I am very much looking forward to this phase ending. We all hate it — the baby, my husband, the older kids, and me.
Luckily, the baby will soon be 8 weeks old. From what I’ve read, 8 weeks old is the perfect time to introduce formula if you will be supplementing or transitioning to a bottle. The fact that I was able to partner with New Enfamil NeuroPro™ formula during this window of time and add it to my feeding plan is a blessing.
I am excited to slowly introduce New Enfamil NeuroPro™ formula, because it has a brain-building fat-protein blend of MFGM and DHA previously only found in breast milk*. Up until now my baby, Nerina, has been exclusively breastfed, and she is still experiencing fussiness and crying regularly. Being able to supplement with formula puts me at ease, because I will no longer have to be so strict about my diet
They say not to eat so many things when you are breastfeeding. Even broccoli is on the no list. I can’t always keep up, and I often worry something I eat may cause her to have gas and thus experience even more fussiness and crying. Enfamil® is the #1 brand of infant formula recommended by pediatricians and has been trusted by hospitals for over 25 years. This makes me feel a lot more comfortable about introducing this formula to my baby.
My other two children, although colicky, did not experience nearly as much of the gas and fussiness as Nerina is having. The Enfamil NeuroPro™ Gentlease formula is designed to help ease fussiness, gas, and crying. I am looking forward to seeing how it works with my little one in hopes that we can all have more peaceful and rest-filled nights soon. I appreciate that Enfamil® is dedicated to understanding the nutritional benefits of breast milk, and NeuroPro is born of that dedicated focus. We have all heard the saying “breast is best,” but sometimes, like in my case , fed is best.
It’s also great to know that MFGM has been shown to help close the gap in cognitive development between formula-fed and breastfed infants**. Cognitive development has to do with how babies learn and gain knowledge. It’s so important to nourish the brain first because everything starts there.
